The Sphynx is a breed of hairless cat that was developed through selective breeding. This mutation in the cats’ DNA causes them to lack fur and have other distinctive features, like webbed feet or a long body with a narrow head. These traits give it its appearance as the chamois leather-like skin texture for their skin instead of having thick hairs on top.
The Sphynx loves attention and is very vocal when it needs something. Due to the lack of fur on its body, it should be kept indoors to be safe from other animals and cat diseases. When washing a Sphynx, you will need a mild shampoo with a soft cloth and will need to be dried off quickly to prevent chapping of their skin.
